My mother arrives on Tuesday for a week, my embroidery is not very portable at the moment, so what to do?
Meredith has issued a challenge starting on Sunday to stitch for an hour a day, I think I might be able to manage some applique I have my basket ready...
and a whole lot of Liberty Sampler blocks prepared ...
I think I can do it!
Love your applique this quilt is going to look great!
ReplyDeleteLiberty fabrics just rock! Lucky you to be in England and be able to buy them. All your blocks are so fun to look at. You have been so original. I think a person can applique during visits from their mother. It is kind of like knitting once you have everything blocked out.
ReplyDeleteLove your Liberty fabrics and the blocks look beautiful in them !!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your Liberty sampler, I shouldn't ask but what pat tern is that?
ReplyDeleteLiberty fabrics are beautiful! About 40 years ago my mother made her first and only patchwork project. A tablecloth with Liberty fabrics. It was georgous! I think that that is where my love for patchwork started!
ReplyDeleteAnd isn't it astonishing how much progress one hour a day can make!
ReplyDeleteThe embroidery is wonderful! And those Liberty blocks -- what a pleasure to see them!
ReplyDeleteLove the cobble street with all the buildings. And how clever it is what you are stitching.
ReplyDeleteI am jealous that you live on the River Thames! Just a to visit England would do it for me. Those applique blocks are fabulous. Love your designs.
ReplyDeleteGreat to have you join in. One hour is the minimum.......hopefully you'll get re-inspired and do more! Enjoy the time with your Mum.
ReplyDeleteJust an hour a day, eh? I'm in! All your stitching looks great.
