Mostly Knitting and Reading

Unfortunately I have had lots of work to do this last week, so very little daylight for sewing. I did manage to make four of the connecting star blocks for my Liberty Sampler
In the evenings I have been working on my mystery shawl, it is getting quite large now and each row is taking about 30 mins. It should be lovely and warm when it's finished.
I have been reading this book for the last couple of weeks, it is all about Charles Rennie Macintosh and set during WWI

  4. The Star block has got to be one of my favorites. And in Liberty? Gorgeous! I have added that book to my queue. I was lucky enough to visit the Glasgow School of Art back in the 1980s. It was amazing. Sounds like a fascinating read!

  6. Pretty sewing :) I really need to get round to learning how to quilt. I've even got a sewing machine and some fabric, no excuse for not giving it a go really lol.

Your shawl looks interesting, love all that texture. Bet you can't wait to get it off the needles and blocked out so you can appreciate the design fully :)

  7. Those Liberty Stars are so pretty. As for your shawl, how lovely and soft it looks. Wow...30 minutes to knit a row....it would be rather akin to lifting weights. I love the pretty colour and all that lovely texture.

  14. I bet you can't wait to bind off on your shawl and lay it out flat for the first time. That's the most rewarding part, in my opinion.
