I have finished stitching the last of this month's appliqué blocks...
and made a few more hexagon flowers...
While I was in Aberdeen last week I took the opportunity to visit one of my favourite Quilt Shops The Seattle Quilt Company everyone is so friendly and helpful, I bought a few spools of Mettler thread which I love for appliqué and stocked up on a few more FQ's - I am not sure if these will all make it into Stonefields, but I am really tempted to try and find a place for the lovely oranges and pea green!
It has turned really cold here his week, perfect for stitching in front of the fire in the evenings, Jasper loves to warm his belly!
Now there's a dog with the right idea!
ReplyDeleteI think we will need a fire in the fireplace soon too - it is going to be a cold winter here I think.
ReplyDeleteLove your Stonefields blocks! So so pretty! Love the new fabrics too -- I'm into brights these days. The name of the quilt store had me wondering -- is there a Seattle in England?? I'm always amazed at how many place names in the US originate in England.
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are looking really lovley! I must check back thru' your posts to find out more about your Stonefields quilt! Linda
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are so beautiful. Love the fabrics you bought and that picture of Jasper is wonderful !
ReplyDeleteThat is one cozy, happy pup there! :)
ReplyDeleteI just love your blog. I love Golden Retrievers as well, and have two of them right now. I also love your applique. We should be stitching together...
ReplyDeleteLove your block and fabrics not forgetting your happy pup !

hello Elaine, I just hopped over from Angelas. I was interested to see that you live on the Thames. I lived in Bucks (and for a while in Maidenhead and Cookham) until4 years ago and we had a little Dory which we puttered about on, up and down the river.
ReplyDeleteI see you are another hexy fan like me. I shall enjoy going off for a proper look round your blog now.
best wishes Kath
Those are lovely blocks. Stonefields is on my wish list. I love those type of quilts. I'm collecting fabrics for one by Di Ford. Thanks for the link to you favorite shop. I'll have to visit. Stay warm.
