The challenge this year is 6 & 6 in 2018
"What on earth?? we hear you asking. Well, it’s simple. We know many of you, as well as Anne and I, like to do new things as well as try to finish or at least get Substantial Progress happening on older projects. Too often the bright, new, shining thing distracts us so to combat that in 2018 it will be a challenge of 6 old and 6 new.
:: The 6 old can be carried over from 2017 or if you’ve been a smarty pants if your list is cleared, you’re welcome to nominate 6 more projects.
:: The 6 new, well, you probably don’t know about them as yet, they’ll most likely be things that grab your attention during the year, so no nominations needed.
To play along, we will post about a new project on odd numbered months (i.e. January, March, May etc) and your nominated UFO’s on the even numbered months (i.e. February, April, June etc).
What do you think? Would you like to play along? You have until 1 January to sort out your 6 UFO projects – link party opens on 2 January. Anne and I do hope you’ll join us again."
Here are my 6 old
1. Down the Rabbit Hole
2. Happy Days
3. Stonefields
4. Lucy's River Terrace
5. Dear Jane
6. EPP
if it helped you to get to your goals that is great - those kinds of list do not help me as I don't have way too many projects started and tend to stick to no more than 6 or 7 at any given time.
ReplyDeleteHappy New year to you and love seeing your work.
I always love having a peek at what you are working on. I admire your zeal. Happy New Year to you....enjoy all that stitching.
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to do a Dear Jane, but I don't think it's going to happen. I've subscribed to get notifications of your blog posts as you are working on two quilts the same as me..Down the Rabbit Hole and Happy Days! Will you be doing either of Sarah's new BOM's? I have signed up for Simple Folk.
ReplyDeleteI love your projects. I can not participate, as I hand applique and hand quilt. If I'm lucky, and if I sew every minute of the day, I can usually finish 2 1/2 to 3 projects a year. I do have a list of six that I'm working on, and another six I want to make though...
ReplyDeleteDelighted that you are joining in with the challenge - looking forward to seeing your progress. Anne
ReplyDeleteI certainly have some 'leftovers' from my 17 UFOs in 2017 that will qualify. I look forward to following your progress, as usual. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteLove down the rabbit hole!
ReplyDeleteI'm a list person and find I get a lot done that way too. Your 6 old projects are beautiful and challenging. Nothing quick about those. It will be fun to continue following along with your progress through out 2018.
ReplyDeleteGreat projects for the challenge Eileen! Thanks so much for joining in and looking forward to seeing your progress over the year.
ReplyDeleteSorry Elaine - silly predictive text, fat fingers and not proof reading!
ReplyDeleteIt will be good to follow your progress this year!
ReplyDeleteFirst off, your house looks like a picture post card! Lovely! Second, I'm thrilled to see you're filling it with beautiful quilt projects! Looking forward to following your progress.
ReplyDeleteLove your projects! They are all pieces that I wish I were making. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWell Emily, you certainly have your hands full with each and every one of your 6 UFOs. They are incredible and very detailed! I can't wait to watch your progress and cheer you on.
ReplyDeleteNot sure if I can get to the other of last years 17, but I have picked 6 of those that I didn't complete last year.
