Looking back through my blog posts for 2013 I am disappointed that I managed to finish very few projects - I did however start quite a few! I have decided not to make any New Year Resolutions as I never stick to them, but rather than sign up for all the new SAL's that are starting, I think I will continue to work on some of my ongoing quilting projects and see if I can do better in 2014!
Here is my very small 2013 finished list...
A comfort quilt for my sister to use during chemotherapy - machine pieced and quilted
A sketchbook cover in Silk Shading
A lavender filled heart in Silk Ribbon Embroidery
A little needlebook
Crazy Quilt Wedding Sampler, lots of silk ribbon, buttons and lace
Walter Crane inspired swan embroidery in Silk Shading and Goldwork
Wonderful finishes, Elaine! So many techniques that you do, all so amazing!
ReplyDeleteThey are gorgeous Elaine - nothing to be disappointed about there! I especially love your lavender heart and that wonderful wedding sampler. Keep up the good work in 2014 and thanks for the inspiration!

Oh don't despair Elaine, I agree with Hilda, you have some gorgeous finishes! I think I've only managed one :D I just love your swan embroidery. happy New Year and I look forward to reading your blog throughout 2014.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful finishes! I definitely know what you are saying -- I feel like I have too many started and unfinished projects from 2013 as well. So weird. I think you did great in 2013 though!
ReplyDeleteI think that's a perfectly respectable stitching finish list for the year, Elaine! You've created some lovely pieces. My favourite is the heart with the ribbon work.=)
