Early Spring in the Garden

I adore Spring, it is my favourite season and this year it has finally arrived!

A few weeks ago the garden was a sorry sight the only thing flowering were some ever resilient Snowdrops...
So I planted a pot of cheerful polyanthus by the front door and waited...
Mother Nature soon did what she does best, and provided me with some welcome colour in the form of these crocuses...

The first of the daffodils...
And my absolute all time favourite, these gorgeous hellebores; I planted these when we arrived 3 years ago and they come back better every year, I love, love, love them!

This week I am linking to Five on Friday

  1. I think I've finally decided my favourite spring flowers are the white crocuses - but I'll change my mind next year, I'm sure!

  6. So unfair that your spring is so far along. We just took a pic of me in front of the piles of snow on the side of our driveway. The piles are higher than my waist! 52" of snow this year. Hopefully no more!!! Thanks for the breath of spring. I need it!

Those double hellebores are great, mine are all singles and have a charm all of their own, but I think I shall have to hunt out a double one now I've seen yours!
